Established clinical research site in Ocala, FL which serves numerous pharmaceutical sponsors and CROs is searching for a full-time Clinical Research Study Nurse.
The successful candidate will have significant experience performing clinical assessments and will be able to immediately start contributing as part of the study team working in small groups on the clinical trials.

Job Duties:
- Actively involved in screening activities of research subjects to evaluate their eligibility for clinical studies
- Required to maintain a high level of professional expertise through familiarity with complex study protocols, including the inclusion/exclusion criteria, investigator brochures, study flow charts, and overall requirements of each protocol.
- Performs study procedures, reviews and records source documentation in the subject’s medical record, reviews laboratory data and maintains ongoing communication and interaction with Principal Investigators, Sub-investigators, research subjects, research staff, study monitors, and management.
- Perform clinical trial assessments such as vitals, phlebotomy, IV insertion and administration of investigational drugs
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Calm and collected manner when working with patients, physicians, and other research professionals
- Exceptional ability to work as part of a team and to multitask effectively
- Ability to function independently in a technology-enabled clinical research setting
- Ability to self-monitor the collected data and resolving / correcting errors per Good Documentation Practices
Required Experience:
- Current valid RN license
- Knowledge of nursing competency skills per scope of practice (i.e., performing vital signs, nursing assessments, performing ECG / EKG, administering injections, etc.)
- Knowledge of medical terminology, drug calculation skills, and clinical medicine
- Two (2) years of recent clinical nursing experience in a hospital, clinic, or similar health care setting
- At least two (2) years of sponsored clinical research experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Personal vehicle for on the job transportation
- Minimum of a diploma from an accredited nursing school, required
